Local facemasks or N95 medical grade.
A popular saying goes thus; The day elephant dies, people comes with different types of knives to have their own share.
The same saying is applicable here. To reduce community spread of dreaded covid-19, we are compelled to wear facemasks.
Corona virus are airborne and they could move faster via droplets from cough.
Now, will it suffice to say any facemasks will prevents contagiousness of the disease.
There are standard surgical facemasks like N95.
How suitable are the facemasks made from local fabrics?
What do you think?

Islamic cleric children abducted in Ibadan
Taofeek Akeugbagold sounded doleful when he granted an interview to the pressmen.
After waiting for 12 years, his new wife gave birth to the twins children. Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers invaded his house in Ibadan and forcefully seized the children.
The Islamic cleric with teary face appealed for the release of those children.
Even in the midst of partial lock down in the ancient city, gunmen could still struck.
Police authority should ensure those children are return safely to their parents and the abductors brought to book.
To forestall recurrence, let us increase population of our police force. We are terribly underpolice.

Four policemen dismissed for human right violations ....
For "daring" to violates the lock down order by Osun State government. The woman in this picture was battered by men of Nigeria police who accosted her.
She was out to get some drugs for her children. All her entreaties fell on deaf ear, she was beaten blue black.
A fellow who steal bag of salt in the market square would not have received more punishment.
Police authority had step into the matter .The policemen involved had been been dismissed from the force .
Policing should be done with a lot of candour.Professionalism is required in enforcing the law and high emotional intelligence.
Violations of human rights should not be handle with kiddies gloves.
Oyo rejects insects infested rice.
It is no longer news that Oyo State government has rejected stimulus package sent by the Federal government.
Insects infested bags of rice were delivered to the state after a long while
The bags of rice are not fit for consumption, yet they were transferred to people for consumption
In my earlier post, I call out government for using seized rice which are contrabands as palliatives .
What happen to our local rice? This may be the right time to push our local rice to the masses.
Oyo State was proactive enough to have discovered the defective rice promptly .
What about places where the same rice has reached and no one was ready to do due deligence.
Where do we go from here?
