There is nothing wrong in walking and pretending there is peace when in actual facts there is restlessness occasioned by government insensitivity.

Federal Housing Authority have pulled down some structures in Festac.

Some of the affected houses did not get approved plans to erect structures on the land .

I think, nothing can be further from the truth.

Can someone just wake up and start building without approval?

Corrupt government officials must have allocated the lands  to  the house owners.

It is a dangerous trend and the faster it is nip in the bud the better it is....

Close to 5 correctional centers have been attacked in the  last  six months .

Criminal elements are leveraging on weak security architecture to perpetrate this evil.

The reality on ground is that society is becoming highly unsafe.Those that are supposed to answer for their crime are walking freely in the society.

What has this country turn to?

 The autopsy was done yesterday and the result is yet to be in the public domain.. 

Inspector General of Police has requested the case transferred to Abuja..

Demise of Timothy is pathetic and the case has since become so expanded that it may be a little difficult to be manipulated.

One thing is certain, the young man did not die a natural death...

Intelligent people have been asking for CCTV records ..  Where is it?...It suppose to be an ancillary evidence.

This is a bad case for the accused ...

If for any reasons family of the deceased fail to

get justice in a case like this...

Then our country will be describe  as FINISH..

A bad lawyer will win this case, it is a clear case of murder...

We find it really hard believing our leaders .As a matter of facts, the trust issues has trickled down to almost every sectors 

Over the weekend, we were told that newly acquired super tucano fighter jets wreck  havoc in the camp of ISWAP..

Some commentators found it hard to believe we are winning the war against insurgents.

The simple reasons is because people have been misled in the past and it is becoming increasingly difficult to believe news from government quarters ..

Until we begin to fine-tune definition of leadership and elects the right people who qualifies to occupy such a sensitive position, success is not in view...

Criminals elements are becoming more daring. In the  last couple of months, correctional facilities have been attacked and inmates set free by bandits.

Abolongo correctional center in Oyo came under attack some months ago,  it is now the turn of Jos correctional center.

Most of the attack were carried out by criminal elements in a bid to rescue some of their partners in crime who were held in those facilities.

Fortification of correctional center is a task that must be done. Adequate security should be provided by people in authority.

Reports of attack on Jos prison is still sketchy, we hope perpetrators are rounded off and made to pay for their crime.

Road rails removal by vandals: One of the causes of accident

Should we blame government for acts of vandalism perpetrated by unpatriotic and wicked followers?

 This among many questions is begging for answer,. Third mainland bridge is a long road covering about 11.8km .

More than 90% of the rail barrier meant to protect vehicles from falling off the bridge has been removed by vandals.

Now, the road are exposed to accident ......

Asking government to replace the railings without putting measures in place to check activities of vandals would be a fruitless effort.

The rails are removed for economic gain ,  the aluminum rails according to research are melted into pots  to be sold in the market.

Acaedemy bridge in Ibadan is also not spared, all the rails are gone..

We are our number one enemy!

 A soldier was killed. That is bad enough . A reprisals was carried out, which led to killings and burning of houses and shops in Imo.

Commission of crime by those who are suppose to be law enforcers is a common knowledge .

An army  rascal would tell unarmed civilians that  he will kill and nothing will happen..

A lot of impunity , it looks as if they have no commander they report to ..

Killing a soldier in Imo was a dastard act, lt becomes more worrisome when soldiers who suppose to be guided by rules of engagement

threw caution to the wind and started unleashing terror on innocent citizens.. 

This acts is condemnable.and everyone found culpable should be punished...

Government have a lot to do in orientating men in uniform. Uniform does not confers power to do and undo on them

What can be so more  awful than that...

This is commendable and worthy of emulations.

Who are those buying the stolen items from them?  Vandals are on the prowl , the thief had cut one of the cables, but he was unlucky while trying to cut more cables, he was electrocuted .

Vandalization of government property is on the rise and this call for concerns. The Warri-Itakpe newly constructed standard gauge rail has been vandalized on one or two occasions.

Residence of Kobape  in Abeokuta were shocked to the marrow to see the thief dangling on the pole.

Citizens claimed government is not building infrastructure, yet those that were built were being vandalized by unscrupulous elements.

Government should not just build infrastructure. there  should be adequate security for those infrastructures .

People in the community can also organize vigilantes group that would protect both their community and government property.

 He wouldn't  have any slightest inkling that he would be killed and buried in the same hotel where he has been a regular guest  for some time.

The story of Adegoke Timothy leave sour taste in the mouth of friends and family member who reported his disappearance few days after his mobile line could not be reached .

Investigations later revealed that he was killed and buried in the premises of the hotel in question.

The culprits have made confessional statements and they are helping police authority in their investigations.

How can one be so careful in this country?

Sierra Leone Fire explosion..

Fire explosion that occurred in Sierra Leone where many lives were lost was a national disaster...

It is a painful truth that such incidence of fire explosion was aggravated by people who were at the scene of the accident to scoop spilled fuel.

We have recorded similar accident in our country where people went out to scoop fuel from fuel tanker which spilled it's content .

Close to 98 people were burnt beyond recognition ..

That is an avoidable death...

Imagine the area being cordoned off after the accident occurred and emergency unit was alive to their responsibility.

Poverty of the mind is the greatest poverty.

People would see what will kill them but for pecuniary reasons they toyed with their life.

May their soul rest in peace..

Hoodlums take advantage of bad roads or traffic snarls to rob commuters.

Insecurity has taken frightening dimensions.

 The roads are bad and not adequately police .

These criminals understand the terrains where they carry out their  nefarious activities .Places like long bridge along Lagos - Ibadan Express way is notorious for crime like this.

Fighting insecurity is a big deal and it requires a lot determination and political will on the path of government.

Police authority knows the volatile spot, one would have expected them to deploy a good number of their personnel to ward off these unscrupulous elements 

Lack of adequate security will slow down developmental stride and will make nonsense of every good initiative government has put in place 

So, we can not overemphasize how important it is to reducing crime to barest minimum

Religion or Expertise ..

We talk endlessly about religion,  ethnicity and all what not..

Rejection of Yoruba Muslim engineer by the late Femi Osibona the owner of 21 storey building that collapsed in Ikoyi has generated debate in some quarters about discrimination against Yoruba Muslim in the South West..

Nigerians  are very religious people with little or no fear of God.. Every aspects of our lives is control by religious belief and most importantly what our religious leaders says..

I don't really know how God will judge the world , but I am sure he will not prefer those that are religious and lack his fear to those who are not religious but fear him..

What has religious belief got to do with someone expertise to perform on assign role 

If a pastor refuses to give out jobs to qualify Muslim, how does that make him holy or heaven bound ...

That is the main reason we are stagnant as a nation .

The truth be told, those who place emphasis  over religious belief as against  expertise don't even know God ...

Hardly will you come in contact with government officials in any ministry without them asking for bribe to get jobs done...

One is not surprise when it was revealed that LASBCA approved 15 storey building as against 21 storey erected. The 21 storey came down and lives were lost..

The collapsed building can still be reconstructed, who is going to bring the lives that were lost back?

Money definitely must have exchange hands between the builder and ministry involved .

When people cut corners, they loose sight of the facts that someday they must vomit all they have swallowed.

Governor Sanwo Olu has suspended GM LASBCA,. How will this bring back lost lives.

I think he should be fired ...

Government has set up committee to look into remote and immediate causes of the collapsed building.

I hope lessons would be learnt ..

 Ikoyi building collapsed could be described as an unfortunate incident..

Close to ten dead bodies have been retrieved under the rubbles .

The rescue operation is still on-goung, however I don't think it is logical for rescuers to go on break under circumstances such as this..

It supposed to be a  continuous exercise, while some workers are on break , others should be at work(shift basis)..

It' is Anti common sense that while victims are breathing their last under the rubbles, some people are having delicasies .

It is a sorry case...
