The city of Osogbo was thrown into confusion when egungu worshippers clashed with some Moslem faithfuls.

Religion remain the opium of the people and it needs to be well managed..

There should be religion tolerance and everyone have the fundamental right to practice whatever religion they chooses...

Government should stem the tide of religious intolerance among practitioners ...

Jacob Zuma conviction and rule of law in Nigeria.

Jacob Zuma will  spend 15 months in prison for contempt of court .

That is quite strange! It is not likely any former president in our country can be jailed for contempt .

Rule of law is non existing in our clan, people in position of authority decides which court order to obey and the one to disregard ..

Most Africa leaders are not free from graft and this is one of the reasons why Africa remain a poor continent .

Also, our justice system needs total overhauling ...

Every corrupt individuals, regardless of their position in the society should be brought to book if Nigeria will move forward..

Say no to Drugs

Addiction to hard drugs is becoming prevalent among the youths.

Youths have been told to eschew violence, however it is like putting the cart before the horse.

Drugs are stimulants that will make people do what they can't do ordinarily .

Government should do more in the area of enforcement and mopping up of hard drugs from the society.

Most of the violence perpetrated are traceable to the use of hard drugs .

A 400 level student of a university in the East Jumped from a three storey building after using a hard drug..

As long as we have people abusing drugs freely, fight against criminality and brigandage will be a mirage..

Let us say NO to drugs.

Nigeria will not break up.

Seniour Prefect to leave again for Medicals..

There is nothing wrong with seniour prefect seeking medicals abroad .

Everyone pray to enjoy the fruit of their labour including seniour prefect .

What remaining students are clamouring for is very simple.They should see to it that school dispensary always have drugs to treat common students .

Also, he should formulate a favourable policy that will ensure health practitioners no longer go on strike. They should be well paid .

I wonder what will be going on in the mind of the parents!  Children are sent to schools to learn, unfortunately their interest is else where.

Nigeria in New York celebrate Egungu Festival

I watched the video of Yorubas in New York celebrating egungu festival(masquerade)..

I am surprised that such festival could be organized in developed country of the world

Watching the video closely, I did not see anybody brandishing dangerous weapon or causing mayhem ..

Nigeria is rich culturally, but poverty and government insensitivity to things that matters have re wtitten our history

A popular masquerade call Ololu must attack someone anytime he is out. His followers are violent and innocent people are harmed in the melee.

We should be careful how we run things .

NIN Management needs more servers ..

I am a bit taken aback to have read that N.I.N management is requesting for 25billion naira to purchase additional servers for the registrations of more applicants

According to the news, 53 million Nigerians have been registered already.

I wonder why they were hurrying people and threatening to bar people from the air space, but in actual facts they don't have all it takes to absorb every applicants.

What would be the fate of those who are yet to register ? Will they have to wait until the servers are procured ?

It is obvious that the take off of the exercise was shoddy.

Ecowas court ruled against government..

 If  ECOWAS court had not ruled.........

 Would they have arrest and prosecuted  violators. If they do, on what premises would they prosecute them.

 Government has gone too far in banning Twitter...

 The earlier they lift the ban, the better it is for us as a country...

Our battered image needed to be repaired as quickly as possible..
